Meet Geric Magbitang, chemist and environmental manager.

He is currently pursuing a Masters in Environmental Management. His current research focuses on analyzing the effects of socio-economic parameters and the level of nearby water bodies’ plastic pollution in Metro Manila. He uses tools like GIS (geographic information systems) software and geodatabases.

He is currently based at the University of San Francisco in California, USA, as part of a joint program with Ateneo de Manila University. About the photo, he shares: “This is from our last class on GIS Drone Technologies with professor David Saah, director of USF Geospatial Analysis Lab.”
