Alex graduated from Central Mindanao University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He spent a few years as a scientific laboratory technician and chemistry instructor at Medina College, receiving his Certificate in Teaching from La Salle University during this time. In 2021, he attended the University of Debrecen for his MSc in Synthetic Chemistry. While taking his degree, not only did he teach at Ateneo de Davao University, he also conducted research on Molecular Dynamics Simulation. He also began his work on developing smart MRI probes by synthesizing macrocyclic complexes for medical imaging. This work led to several conference and seminar presentations in Hungary, France, and the Philippines.
At the moment, Alex is continuing his work with MRI probes at the University of Debrecen. He is in the process of doing his PhD in Chemistry, and currently serves as a student mentor at the university.
