On the eve of Halalan 2022, join Pinoy Scientists in welcoming Joseph Sandoval, PhD student at Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

Joseph graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. Before taking up his Master’s degree in Water Resources Management at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Joseph worked as a research assistant, hydrologist, and university instructor.

Currently, his PhD thesis revolves around culture, politics, and learning in the water management of mangrove rice production in Guinea-Bissau ????????

Some fun facts about Joseph:

  1. He has moderate red-green colorblindness;
  2. He has lived in 5 countries so far: Philippines, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal and Guinea-Bissau; and
  3. He likes to dance salsa, bachata and kizomba.
