We’re rounding out January with Ever Tamayo, who works at an international NGO focused on reducing air pollution through science-based policy development.
Ever graduated with a Biochemistry degree from the University of the Philippines Manila, after which she pursued a Master’s in Environmental Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Though she thought she’d focus on marine pollution chemistry, fate led Ever to eventually explore atmospheric pollution and air quality management.
Previously a lecturer at De La Salle University (DLSU) and DLS-College of St Benilde, Ever now works as an air quality specialist. Funnily enough, Ever’s terror prof back in HS actually told her she’d make a good teacher–and true enough she ended up loving her time as a teacher!
Outside of work, Ever is a proud fur parent to a cat and enjoys outdoor trips, planting and snorkeling.
