Looks familiar? Joining us this week is Paul Caesar Flores, a PhD student in Earth Science at the Yokohama National University.
Paul graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He then finished a Master’s degree in Marine Science, where he studied the East Zambales Fault Segment in the Lingayen Gulf.
During his time in UP Diliman, Paul was involved in several research projects, such as the mapping of coral reef ecosystems and occurrence of offshore active faults as well as determining the rates of sea level rise across various sites in the Philippines.
For his doctoral thesis, Paul is investigating the mechanism of slow earthquakes in the Nankai Trough. He is also the owner and social media manager of the Facebook and Youtube page, Marine and Earth Science Learning Hub.
Here are three fun facts about Paul:
- He is the twin brother of Philip who was featured 2 weeks ago. He is older by 2 minutes and the “Caesar” in their names is because of their caesarean birth.
- He is a big fan of Dota 2. Pangarap niya sana maging pro Dota 2 player pero sinira ng pag-aaral.
- Noong nililigawan pa ni Paul ang kanyang asawa, 3x muna siya binasted bago sinagot.
