From one Chevening scholar to another, taking over this week is forensic anthropologist Edwin Miguel Anadon.
Edwin graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Biology from the University of the Philippines Diliman. After graduating, he worked as a research associate on a variety of projects, ranging from:
- the wildlife forensics and DNA barcoding of native Philippine fauna and florathe diet analysis of fruit bats in Isabela
- human osteology
- investigation of human remains collected as Japanese war dead from World War 2
Edwin also worked as a lecturer at the University of Cordilleras’ College of Criminal Justice. He then pursued a Master of Forensic Anthropology at the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom.
Today, he is a team member at Kenyon International Emergency Services and a teaching associate in Guang Ming College – Tagaytay.

- He is the first Filipino Chevening scholar who pursued Forensic Anthropology.
- He’s on a 1288-day streak on Duolingo and has ended at the top of the Diamond League a few times.
