Colleen Rosales

Bid February goodbye with this week’s Pinoy Scientist Colleen Rosales, an Environmental Sciences, minor in Environmental Management doctoral student at Indiana University Bloomington.

Colleen graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines Diliman, where she conducted a multi-elemental analysis of marine sediments in Manila Bay using x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. She later took up her Master’s at UP Diliman, while also serving as an Instructor.

Colleen’s research interests revolve around atmospheric chemistry, indoor air quality and ambient air pollution among others. Like two of our previous scientists, namely Mae and Ever, Colleen also enjoys calligraphy and arts and crafts in general. She is also an avid traveler, considering each new destination a new adventure.
