Joining us on Pinoy Scientists this week all the way from Budapest, Hungary is Airnel Abarra, a PhD student of Sport Sciences at the Hungary’s University of Physical Education!
Airnel graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Social Studies from Laguna State Polytechnic University, as well as a Master of Science in Human Movement Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Through the years, he’s worked in various roles—ranging from an analyst at Accenture, a campaigner at Greenpeace Southeast Asia and as a teacher in San Pablo City and Davao City.
On top of his doctoral studies, Airnel is currently the Director for Sport Research at Adrenaline Solutions, the Founder/Manager of the Mindanao Blue Knights Track League and the Grade School Sports Officer at the Ateneo de Davao University.
Some fun facts about Airnel:
- He can pack his suitcase/a large backpack in less than 30 minutes (tips please!)
- He learned to cook sinantomas using just European ingredients!
- He has a gift for languages, speaking basic Hungarian, Czech, German, Spanish and broken French!
Let’s all welcome Airnel to the Pinoy Scientists community ????
