Melvin See is a Science Research Specialist at The Medical City’s Institute of Personalized Molecular Medicine. He undertook a research project characterizing stable and unstable Chinese hamster ovary cell lines for the production of monoclonal antibodies.

Jane Garcia is a Physics PhD student at the University of California Merced (soon going to Johns Hopkins University!) At UC Merced, Jane is currently working on understanding the self-organization of topological defects in liquid crystal phase transitions.

Ray graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman. He also holds an Assistant Professor position at the De La Salle University Manila.

Rommel Real is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of the Philippines Mindanao. He handles courses related to calculus, numerical analysis and optimization.

Andrea Salvador is a neuroscience PhD student at the University of Virginia. Since starting her PhD, Andoi has already published in prestigious journals like Nature, Nature Neuroscience, Nature Immunology, Nature Reviews Immunology and Cell.

Jason Pechardo is a materials engineer and faculty member at UP Diliman. His research interests revolve around composite materials, nanomaterials, materials fabrication and design as well as aerospace materials, among others.

Aeiou Martija is a doctoral researcher at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. For his doctoral research, Aeiou is currently exploring the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying glioblastoma, a fast-growing and aggressive brain tumor.

Mark Dennis Retrato is an Industrial PhD student in Analytical Chemistry at Uppsala University. For his doctoral research, he is now developing analytical methods for assessing the stability of lipid emulsions used for parenteral nutrition.

Cherry Madriaga is a PhD candidate at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo.

Maien Vital is currently consulting for the World Bank in the US. She does economic analysis on education financing and education outcomes.

Renz Calub is an economics research consultant at the Asian Development Bank. Aside from making economics a more relatable and fun subject, he is also a self-confessed econometrics and programming geek.

JC Punongbayan is a PhD candidate and teaching fellow at the UP School of Economics.

Meg Daupan is a Program Manager for the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program at the University of Michigan. Currently, she leads all aspects of the DDCSP-UM from recruiting students across the United States, to building partnerships with environmental researchers and conservation professionals, and serving as a mentor to the scholars.

John Noel Viaña is a bioethicist and postdoctoral fellow at the Australian National University Centre for the Public Awareness of Science. He is in the process of evaluating the current global state of precision health research to develop responsible innovation frameworks.

Remika Gupana is a PhD student in Geography at the University of Zurich! She is developing techniques for sun-induced fluorescence retrieval in coastal areas and lakes.

Colleen Rosales is an Environmental Science and Chemistry practitioner. She is conducting research interests revolve around atmospheric chemistry, indoor air quality and ambient air pollution among others.

Albert Lamberte is aeconomics PhD student at the Australian National University. Before embarking on his PhD, Albert was a lecturer at DLSU, handling subjects like Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and Contemporary Economic Development.

Christian is a Metallurgical and Materials Science and Engineering practitioner. He is a member of the Sustainable Electronic Materials Group, his research interests lie in the synthesis and characterization of advanced and multi-functional (nano)materials for environmental, electronic and energy applications.

Ever Tamayo is a Biochemistry and Environmental Science practitioner. She works at an international NGO focused on reducing air pollution through science-based policy development.

Ma. Rowena Romana-Eguia is a scientist at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center. Her current research projects revolve around studying tilapia lake virus in pond soil and water, as well as the use of plant-based protein sources in tilapia feeds, among many others.
