Mark Jayson Felix is a Senior Science Research Specialist at the Philippine Space Agency under the Earth Sciences Space Mission Studies Division where he puts his expertise on remote sensing to use by conducting research related to water quality and air-water interactions.

Keziah Bartilad is a Senior Science Research Specialist at the Philippine Space Agency. Her work includes the day-to-day operations of the Diwata-2 satellite and other space assets, ground station maintenance and repair campaigns, the creation and updating of standard operating procedures, strategic research and development activities, and the procurement of necessary equipment and spare parts.

John Leur Labrador is the the Chief Science Research Specialist of the Philippine Space Agency’s Spacecraft Mechanical and Autonomous Systems Development Division. He is also a Project Manager for the MULA satellite project, the next-generation Philippine satellite for earth observation.

Princess Cabotaje is a PhD student in Chemistry specialising in Molecular Biomimetics at Uppsala University, Sweden. Her PhD project seeks to utilise the diversity of hydrogenase for energy applications.

Ramuel Tamargo is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Head of the Advanced Materials and Organic Synthesis Laboratory. His research interests include the environmentally friendly synthesis of organic and inorganic materials, UV filters and chemical/nanomaterial-based sensors, and natural products among others!

Leslie Yasis is a licensed chemical engineer and PhD candidate in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her research interests are focused on antimicrobial filters and bio aerosols.

Joan Talubo is an Assistant Professor at the UPLB Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning. Her doctoral thesis assessed island socio-ecological resilience for disaster risk and recovery planning in the Philippines.

Mikaela Fudolig is a physicist and computational social scientist currently based at the University of Vermont. Her research aligns with computational social science, a highly interdisciplinary field that uses quantitative approaches on (usually big) data to understand human behavior.

Yumi Briones is a chemist, researcher, and CEO extraordinaire. She a researcher at the University of the Philippines and also the co-founder and CEO of Savon Cleaning Solutions.

Edwin Miguel Anadon is a forensic anthropologist. He has worked as a research associate on a variety of projects including human osteology and the investigation of human remains collected as Japanese war dead from World War 2.

Ciara Juan is a PhD student in Exercise Biochemistry at Ulster University in the UK. Ciara’s thesis is exploring the relationship between epigenetics and aging.

Beatrice Maquilan is a multi-hyphenate chemistry undergraduate at the University of Tokyo and a science communicator. Her research interests include the development of sustainable materials for green energy and environmental preservation.

Robert Badrina is a weather specialist at the Marine Meteorology Services Section at PAGASA. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Meteorological Society, and also has a Certificate of Basic Pastoral Ministry from the Loyola School of Theology.

DJ Donn Matienzo is a chemical engineer, R&D scientist, and entrepreneur. He is a DOST-PCIEERD Balik Scientist at UP Diliman and Technological Institute of the Philippines, where he is a research fellow for the project called CIPHER

Chino Bandonil is a PhD student in Molecular and Cell Biology at Taiwan’s Academia Sinica. He has worked on various projects, including investigating mitochondrial and glycolytic dynamics during cancer and stress conditions to studying neuron morphology and development.

Kristine Buenafe is a quantitative marine ecologist and research associate at the University of Queensland. Her work explores climate-smart and fisheries-focused spatial planning, applied marine conservation planning, as well as modelling the larval distribution of key economically viable fish species.

John Dale Dianala is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines’ National Institute of Geological Sciences. His research interests lie in understanding where, how often, and why earthquakes happen by studying how tectonic faults deform in time and space.

Reginald Bernardo is a postdoctoral fellow at the Academia Sinica’s Institute of Physics. His research interests include dark energy, cosmology, alternative gravity, black holes, and gravitational waves.

Sophia Hernandez is a PhD student in molecular biology at Umea University, Sweden. She continues to investigate the Plasmodium parasite through research grants from EMBO and the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

Airnel Abarra is a PhD student of Sport Sciences at the Hungary’s University of Physical Education. He is also the Director for Sport Research at Adrenaline Solutions, the Founder/Manager of the Mindanao Blue Knights Track League and the Grade School Sports Officer at the Ateneo de Davao University.
