She is a principal investigator at the DLSU’s Practical Genomics Laboratory, where she leads a team working on the validation of local practices using genetic markers and GIS technologies to maximize resource use in mangrove crab culture.

Florence Basubas is a Scientific Research and Business Development consultant at a stealth startup in Seoul, South Korea. She conducts scientific reviews and market research on the applications of the microbiome and helps develop project portfolios on the application of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning and blockchain to biomedicine.
