Justine Dacanay is an NGS Research Fellow at the Singapore Center for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering. She manages the SCELSE Sequencing Facility, overseeing its day-to-day operations, fulfilling necessary administrative procedures, and demonstrating the work they do at the laboratory for students, stakeholders, professionals, and visitors alike.

Lorenz Chua is a postdoctoral researcher at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH). Lorenz’s research revolves around high-resolution transcriptomic profiling using single-cell RNA-sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, with a special emphasis on respiratory diseases like COVID-19 and pulmonary fibrosis.

Ciara Juan is a PhD student in Exercise Biochemistry at Ulster University in the UK. Ciara’s thesis is exploring the relationship between epigenetics and aging.

Florence Basubas is a Scientific Research and Business Development consultant at a stealth startup in Seoul, South Korea. She conducts scientific reviews and market research on the applications of the microbiome and helps develop project portfolios on the application of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning and blockchain to biomedicine.
