This week, we’re joined by Zoren Mabunga, PhD—electronics engineer and Assistant Professor at the Southern Luzon State University.
Zoren graduated with a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from the Southern Luzon State University under the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) scholarship. He later took up a Masters and PhD in Electronics Engineering at Mapua University—this time, supported by the DOST-Engineering Research and Development for Technology (DOST-ERDT) Scholarship.
As an Assistant Professor, Zoren teaches courses on Transmission Media and Antenna Systems, Electromagnetics, Logic Circuits and Switching Theory, Differential Equations, Advanced Engineering Mathematics. His research interests span artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and wireless sensor networks.
Some fun facts about Zoren:
- He got his first tattoo (Morse Code tattoo) on the same day he earned his PhD.
- He is afraid of heights, and has only ridden a Ferris wheel twice in his life.
- He is a huge GOT fan: his favorite scene was when Arya killed the Night King!
