Before undertaking his PhD, Paul graduated with a BS in Biology from the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University and an MS in Biology from MSU-IIT.
Paul’s PhD research focuses on the evaluation of the cancer prevention properties of saluyot, a common vegetable in the Philippines. Currently, he is working on his dissertation at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Rensselaer, New York.
Since training at the PRI, Paul has been trained in many cool techniques, including: nanoformulation, nanospectroscopy, cancer cell culture, high-performance liquid chromatography and plenty more!
Did you know: Paul is very active on social media! For him, social media is a platform to educate people about science and research. He has a YouTube channel as well where he chronicles his journey as a researcher and his many travels. Follow him on Twitter and IG at @mejpaul and YouTube at JP TV. Who’s excited for Paul’s takeover?
