This week, we’re joined by Dave Cayado, a PhD student in Neurolinguistics at Queen Mary, University of London.

Dave graduated with a Bachelor of Education in English from National University, after which he taught English at Mapua University. He then took his Master’s in Psycholinguistics from the University of Hong Kong.

Currently, his PhD thesis revolves around the neurobiological bases of morphological processing in Tagalog.

    Dr. Dave Cayado’s ( he/him,) journey with Pinoy Scientists began in June of 2022 as a PhD student of Neurolinguistics at Queen Mary, University of London in Great Britain. At the time, he was studying the neurological bases of morphological processing in Tagalog.

    Now, three years later, Dave has completed his doctorate and is working as a British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Royal Holloway University of London. As a neuro/psycho linguist and Research Associate for the Tagalog Team of the SAVANT Project, he studies how human brains comprehend and encode words.
