Meet Dr. Franz Kevin Geronimo, a civil and environmental engineer working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Kongju National University.
Franz graduated from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) for his Bachelor’s, studying the sediment transport analysis of Marikina river using a hydraulic river model. He then took up a Master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering, as well as a PhD in the same field at Kongju National University.
For his dissertation, Franz studied the design criteria of stormwater nature-based solutions. In between his studies, he also worked as a hydrologist in the Philippines as well as an instructor at UST.
Franz’s research interests focus on water resource management, climate change adaption, low-impact development technologies among others. Outside of work, he enjoys eating food, the occasional drink and fittingly enough, K-dramas.
